Deliverables
Primary + Secondary logo
Intro + outro animation
The final logo resembles a sticker in form and texture to represent the simplistic yet practical nature of print design for companies to reach their audiences and improve public relations. Print design goes back to the basics while appealing to Damage Control’s young adult audience.
I animated an intro using the primary logo in After Effects. I enhanced the mixed-media theme with hand-drawn elements: Marker flourishes with neon pops of color to complement the brand colors.
Adding effects such as the ‘page turn’ transition made the logo appear peeled on/off. I also added turbulent displacement for the hand-drawn effect, similar to frame-by-frame 2D animation.
